“My name is Evelyn Peralta, I’m from Dominican Republic. I have been working for Advanced Home Care Services since 2015, before being a PCA/HHA I worked in many different places. I worked in a retail store, was in charge of the electronic department. I also worked in a private school with special need children as a teacher assistant. Working as a HHA is definitely a unique experience, the satisfaction of helping people in needs is indescribable. AHCS not only gave me a job but also a family, I love my work and what I do. My goal is to always do the best I can do, not only for myself but also for those in need. The best part of my job is knowing that I am useful to someone. The most important things in my life are God, my family, and my work. I’m always trying to help people, every month I collect school supplies, clothes and food for children in need in Dominican Republic. Another way of helping people is the way you present yourself in front of your clients, I always have a positive attitude and a smile no matter how bad my day is going. At the end of the day, leaving my client’s house and knowing that they are satisfied with my services is my best reward. Going home to spend time with my grandkids and my daughters is what gives me the strength to continue every day”, shared Evelyn.
