Easygoing, compassionate and always fun to have around, Kelly has been a great part of AHCS for many years. Today we would like to say a special Thank You for all your work!
“I graduated from New Bedford VOC in 1998. I have two children. My oldest is almost 20 years old and attends Mary Mount College in New York . My youngest child is 14 and is in Middle school . I’m very proud of my children. I’m Blessed to still have both of my parents living and have their support.
I am a certified early childhood teacher and I also studied cosmetology. When I was a teenager I was a peer leader educating my peers on HIV and AIDS. Now I am a HHA and very happy about it. Working at AHCS has been great! I feel respected and valued, feel like I am making a difference in someone’s life. I would describe AHCS as a supportive, fulfilling and professional agency!
Being with my clients as a HHA I learned a lot and it brings me happiness in what I am doing every day. Flexible schedule is a great benefit as well. I wish I had this type of job when my kids were young.
For new hires I would recommend to care for your clients the way you would want someone to care for your parents or yourself, stay positive and you will be appreciated. That is what I enjoy the most in my role!”, shared Kelly.
